History

The Riverbay Fund was founded on November 20, 1980, to promote wholesome community activities, including educational, recreational, and cultural programs for youth, seniors, and residents of Co-op City. Since its inception, the Fund has stood at the forefront of driving positive, community-oriented change in Co-op City—the largest residential cooperative in the United States. Over the years, the Riverbay Fund has delivered impactful programs spanning arts and culture, youth engagement, and civic initiatives, serving as a cornerstone of community development for over four decades.
